Naturally Bright Smile
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental treatment that aims to lighten the color of your teeth, giving you a brighter, more confident smile. This procedure is safe, effective and widely used to combat stains and darkening caused by factors such as coffee, wine, tobacco consumption or simply the natural aging of your teeth.

Benefits of Teeth Whitening
Improved Smile Aesthetics: A whiter smile boosts self-esteem and improves overall appearance.
Minimally Invasive Process: The treatment is performed without damaging the tooth enamel.
Fast and Lasting Results: With proper care, the effect can be maintained for months or even years.

Office vs Outpatient
In-office whitening involves two distinct phases that complement each other: a first phase in the office and another at home:
Initial Intra and Extra-Oral Photographic Record;
Performing an intraoral 3D scan to create whitening trays;
Gingival isolation and application of whitening gel for 90 minutes under medical supervision;
Delivery of the whitening kit to continue the treatment at home as well as a detailed explanation of how to maximize the treatment;
Intra and Extra-Oral Photographic Record of the final result.
Whitening performed on an outpatient basis involves carrying out the treatment entirely at the patient's home using trays made specifically for the patient and whitening gel:
Initial Intra and Extra-Oral Photographic Record;
Performing an intraoral 3D scan to create whitening trays;
Delivery of the whitening kit to continue the treatment at home as well as a detailed explanation of how to maximize the treatment;
Intra and Extra-Oral Photographic Record of the final result.
Post-Treatment Care
To keep your teeth white after treatment, it is recommended:
Avoid foods and drinks with a high dye content (coffee, tea, red wine).
Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing.
Visit your dentist regularly for cleanings and checkups.
What are the side effects?
Although teeth whitening is safe, there may be some temporary side effects, including:
Tooth Sensitivity: It is common to feel sensitivity to cold or heat during or after treatment. It usually goes away within a few days.
Gum Irritation: Contact of the whitening gel with the gums may cause slight irritation, but this is easily controlled and temporary.
Temporary Change in Tooth Color: Some people may notice lighter or darker stains immediately after treatment, but the color tends to even out.

What about teeth that already have restorations?
If you have any type of restorations, crowns or veneers in aesthetic areas, these must be replaced after the teeth whitening is complete. These types of materials cannot be whitened or undergo color changes and as such, with teeth whitening, color differences may occur between whitened and restored areas, resulting in an unharmonious and unbalanced smile.
